Tax Installment Payment Plan (TIPP)

The Tax Installment Payment Plan (TIPP) is an efficient program which allows you to pay your property taxes on a monthly basis instead of one annual payment.

  • Bylaw No. 1128-05: Tax Installment Payment Plan

 How does TIPP work?

Each year property taxes are billed in June but cover the period from January 1st to December 31st. If you take advantage of the TIPP programs you don't need to worry about the payment deadline or late payment penalties.

Pre-authorized debits in the amount of the previous years taxes divided into 12 monthly installments, are paid each month beginning in January. In June, the monthly payment will be adjusted to reflect the actual taxes owing for that year.

TIPP automatically continues from year to year, or until you chose to discontinue the payment schedule.

 Who is Eligible to Apply?

Prior to November 15, registered owners with no arrears (prior year balance) are eligible to apply.

 How to Apply?

Property taxpayers who wish to apply to pay their property taxes under the TIPP will need to complete a Pre-Authorized Debit Application Form.
