Fire Rating: Fire Advisory

Smoky Lake County has downgraded the existing Fire Restriction to a Fire Advisory effective 8:00 a.m. September 13, 2024. New fire permits will be issued for essential burning only on inspection during the Fire Advisory.
Fireworks permits will be issued on a case by case basis.
Off-Highway Vehicles (OHV) can start wildfires – check frequently to ensure hotspots are free of debris, and make sure mufflers and spark arrestors are working properly.
Never leave a campfire unattended. Soak it, stir it and soak it again until cool to the touch to ensure it is extinguished.
The Fire Advisory allows burning barrels with safe burning practices in place and screens covering all barrels in use as per county policy.
The Fire Advisory will remain in effect until conditions improve.
